NEW METODS OF TECHNICAL INSPECTION OF THE GAS BOTTLES
Abstract
The decisive factor in the process of technical inspection of the gas bottles is determined by the correct choice of the method of carrying out the inspections in order to observe with the greatest attention the possible imperfections due to the wear, which have occurred after prolonged use. Emphasis is placed on the safety conditions of the gas bottles, which contain mandatory minimum technical provisions regarding the periodic verification of the cylinders for liquefied gases or compressed under pressure. The gas bottles are an assembly consisting of: - pressure vessels, with a volume of between 1 and 50 liters inclusive, and used for the transport and storage of liquefied or compressed gas under pressure; - the related fittings, which can be: filling and emptying device, safety device, pressure relief device, measuring device, valve joint, fixing element fixed to the container, protection and fixing element and protective devices heat. The periodic technical inspection of the pressure vessels for compressed and liquefied gas consists of: - checking the general condition of the container (external and internal verification); - verification of mass and capacity; - hydraulic pressure test. The paper presents the optimal method of inspection and verification of the cylinders of compressed, liquefied or dissolved gas bottles, represented by the use of the technical pressure inspection stand, in accordance with international principles and practices.
