MINERALOGICAL-GEOCHEMICAL FEATURES OF ORES IN TYPICATION OF GOLD MINERALIZATION OF THE VERKHNEAMGINSKY AREA (SOUTHERN YAKUTIA)
Abstract
Mineralogical and geochemical features of ores played an important role in typification of gold mineralization of the Verkhneamginskiy area, which includes the Khatyrkhay and Khokhoy ore fields. Association of elements is represented by Au, Ag, Cu, Bi in the Khatyrkhay ore field. The mineral composition of ores - pyrite, hematite, chalcopyrite, tellurobismuthite, less common - native gold, galena, sphalerite, bornite, greenockite, hessite, tennantite, bournonite. Supergene minerals are goethite, hydrogoethite, covellite, chalcocite. Minerals-inclusions ? potassium feldspar, adularia, barite, rutile, monazite, apatite, svanbergite. Native gold is lumpy, rarely subhedral, it has massive structure. The gold fineness ? from 598 to 1000?, medium and high-grade gold prevails. Copper gold (Cu - 38%) occurs. Trace elements in gold ? Cu, Fe, Bi, Hg, Pt. It is closely associated with goethite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, barite, monazite. All these mineralogical and geochemical features of ores are similar to the mineralogical and geochemical features of ores of the Lebedinsky gold deposit. In the Khokhoy ore field - associations of elements ? Au, Ag, Sb, Tl. The mineral composition of the ores is comparable with the composition of the ores of the Kuranakh gold deposit. Rare minerals of thallium - veisbergite and avicennite, as well as unnamed thallium telluriates and antimonates were found in ores for the first time. According to this mineralogical feature, ore fields are close to Karlin-type ores. Native gold has porous structure, it is morphologically lumpy, dendritic, rarely contains crystals, its internal structure is lattice, cellular. The gold fineness is mainly high, varies from 834 to 1000?. Trace elements in gold ? Cu, Hg, Bi, Pt, Hg, Fe, Pb, O. Gold is closely associated with goethite and Tl, Fe and Cu tellurates, galena. The type of gold mineralization of Khatyrkhaysky (Lebedinsky type) and Khokhoysky (Kuranakh type) ore-placer fields is determined by the mineralogical and geochemical features of the ores.
