MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY OF CEMENT CONCRETE PAVEMENTS
Abstract
Cement concrete pavements are very specific group of the road construction due to the different traffic loads and vary time difficulties in the course of maintenance and repairs. For the design of the planed repairs the increased requirements are imposed especially in the terms of repair life time cycle. The economical evaluation shall consider not only the value of the repair itself but also the cost connected with the diversion of air traffic during the execution of the maintenance and repairs. Therefore, is highly required, the time for repair execution to be shortened, in order to achieve required repair parameters. Based on the evaluation of their current state, the basis for deciding on the design and procedure of repair, renewal, or even reconstruction of the road will be determined. In addition to the technical and technological process, the design of the repair must also take into account the energy and economic aspect. The paper describes the possibilities of repair and maintenance of cement concrete pavements using various technologies.
