Abstract

The importance of developing educational activities in a clean environment is a major requirement and necessity from the perspective of providing optimal conditions for stimulating creativity and personal development. Thus, the need for a clean area in terms of urban pollution requires a profound understanding of environmental factors (soil, noise) with significant impact on both the population and the environment. As such, we have proposed to carry out specific pollution analyzes that could be found in the ?tiin?ei Campus at the Dun?rea de Jos University of Galati. Analyzes were carried out to determine the level of radioactivity for alpha, beta and gamma as well as analyzes to determine the chemical composition of the soil by X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF). Measurements have also been made to determine the sound pressure level both inside the campus and in the surroundings. The results may indicate the presence of high levels of toxic pollutants with a major impact on humans and the environment.
