REINFORCEMENT SOLUTIONS FOR THE ROAD ACCESSING THE SURVEILLANCE BLOCK FROM OBREJII - OF - CAPALNA DAM
Abstract
The aim of this paper consists in highlighting the feasible technical solution in a real situation, namely to achieve the consolid ation of the road accessing the monitoring block from Obrejii-of-Căpâlna dam. As a consequence of the landslides occurred on the left flank, between the intersection with national road DN 67C and Podu Vacii point, at about 50 - 60 m downstream the dam, it was proposed the narrowing of the access road platform, to the surveillan ce and control block of the dam, on 20 - 30 m length. According to the geological report, the landslide phenomena have occurred as a consequence of the lack of the ditch at the road’s boundary, needed for collecting and diverting rain waters. The workings perimeter is located on the East bank of Sebe s River, at about 150 m downstream the dam. With respect to legal requirements, the global importance category of designed structures is C (normal), and the specific importance class is III. The envisaged tec hnical solution for the reinforcement and rehabilitation of the access road to th e monitoring block from Obrejii-of-C ăpâlna dam, in the landslide area, consist in construction of a monolithic supporting wall, built in BH 200 cement concrete, with a 2.00 m height steps.
