PROSPECTS OF OIL AND GAS POTENTIAL OF CRETACEOUS AND JURASSIC DEPOSITS SURKHANDARYA OIL AND GAS REGION
Abstract
The article provides brief characteristics of the discovered deposits in the Surkhandarya oil and gas region, the results of research work by a number of scientists and a number of exploratory seismic surveys carried out. As a result of these works, the presence of a large number of areas with a high-amplitude structure was revealed, which are favorable signs for the accumulation of hydrocarbons. The analysis of new geological and geophysical materials based on modern equipment and computer programs of various companies makes it possible to study the structures of the research area in more detail. Foreign companies also participated in geological exploration, which conducted exploratory seismic surveys in this region. The deciphered seismic sections made it possible to more accurately determine the shape and depth of the structures. The assessment of the prospects of this region takes into account the layered block structure of the earth's crust, the identified deep regional faults, along the stretch of which the known.
