APPLICATION OF THE MODEL APPROACH FOR THE PROCESS OF BULK MATERIAL LOADING
Abstract
Modelling is the process of replacing the dynamic system of its model. The loading of mineral resources is an integral part of their circulation. The first loading process is being carried out during the excavation of raw materials. Subsequently, the loading process is carried out in the other stages of its transportation by various means of transport or processing. The contribution describes a model example of loading the selected mineral raw material into the selected type of transport means railway wagon. The main goal of modeling is determination the number of cycles for loading one rail wagon by the selected loader and the loading time of the railway wagon. A mathematical calculation is performed for a model example and then the simulation model. The simulation model was created in EXTENDSim, a product of Imagine That, Inc. USA. Calculation and simulation gave comparable results. The simulation model can be applied after minor modifications to other wagon capacities as well as sizes of the loader shovels. This calculation and model are applicable in practice as an auxiliary tool for the planning of loading during the transport of raw materials. Of course, the model is not the final version, it can be further expanded for other activities e.g. the supply of the necessary number of wagons for loading, the use of several loaders. This is the recommendation for further research.
