LITHOLOGICAL FACTORS OF FORMATION OF THE VENDIAN TERRIGENIOUS RESERVOIRS IN THE SOUTHERN SIBERIAN PLATFORM
Abstract
The greatest reserves of hydrocarbons on the territory of the Siberian platform confine to the Vendian terrigenous collectors. The paper is dedicated to the analysis of the lithological factors, influenced the formation of these reservoirs. The void space of the sandstones was examined on the basis of the detailed petrographic and electron microscopic studies. The analysis of dependencies of the filtration-capacity properties and the structural and material characteristics carried out. Established that the sedimentary factors (the composition of the debris, the dimension and degree of sorting of grains) set conditions for primary high porosity, but the postsedimentary changes had played the ultimate role in the formation of the collector. Compaction, regeneration of grains of quartz and anhydrite-dolomite cementation worsened the reservoir properties. Heightened content of the feldspars and fragments of clay rocks impeded the development of the quartz regeneration and, in conjunction with the dissolution of the grains, provided the highest values of filtration-capacity properties.
