PROSPECTS FOR THE USE OF THE MEDICAL MUD OF SORA ARASAN-KUNDUZDY (SOUTH - EAST KAZAKHSTAN) IN BALNEOLOGY
Abstract
In the frontier southeastern districts of the republic there is a sharp increase in international tourism, and in this regard, the development of the resort industry and the development of the local base of balneological resources are of particular importance. The material for the article was the results of studies conducted in 2018 under the project of grant financing ?Development of an innovative methodology for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of therapeutic mud in south-eastern Kazakhstan as a hydro-mineral raw material? (IRN ?? 05130934). The article presents a brief description of the area of work, the physico-chemical composition of the Arasan-Kunduzdy mud, and the prospects for its use in balneology. Sor Arasan-Kunduzdy is located in the Panfilov district of the Almaty region on the right bank of the former riverbed (oxbow) of the Ili river, 45 km south-west of Zharkent, geographically - in the eastern part of the Ili intermountain basin, bounded from the north by the Dzungarian Alatau ridge, from the south Ketmen ridge, from the west by the mountains of Katu-Tau and in the east by the state border with the Republic of China. The studies used: high-precision geodetic survey of the work area (scale 1: 500); drilling of observation and sensing wells, pits; penetration of exploration and sensing wells to determine the thickness of the mud deposit and study its lithological structure; mud sampling, in the process of drilling and monitoring; processing samples of mud by physico-chemical analysis.
