Abstract

The article deals with a basic economic image of the inland company Severo?eskпїЅ doly a.s. from 2010 until 2014. It is a company producing most brown coal in the Czech Republic. An economic insight into the company reveals important information for investors, but also for employees themselves, eventually it provides suppliers and customers with many useful data. The article presents basic economic indicators within a chosen period, their development and overall evaluation. It is indeed the economic analysis of the company that brings us valueable information concerning the economic position of the company within the Czech market. Thus, the main subject of the article is the detail description and presentation of the financial-economic situation and development of the Severo?eskпїЅ doly company and realization of horizontal and vertical analysis of balance and profit and loss statement. Furthermore, there are calculations of the total evaluation index. In the end, there is an overall evaluation and possible proposals for improvement of the situation within the chosen economic indicators.
