Abstract

During the process of drilling wells with a complex spatial profile, it is necessary to obtain timely information about technological processes in order to control them. This issue is relevant for the oil and gas industry, since the number of works of increased complexity is constantly growing. This article discusses the technique of vertical tomography in control problems during directional well drilling. The object of control in this case is the technological equipment, the well and the surrounding soil. The article provides an overview of the technical aspects of vertical electrotomography by the phase-metric method. The description of a laboratory experiment to study the effectiveness of control of the drilling process by the phase-measuring method is given. The study of the dynamics of changes in the phase signals of the receiving lines of the electrodes at different depths is shown. The analysis of the reliability of the obtained control data was carried out by calculating the degree of closeness of the control results to the true values of the parameters. The research results are accompanied by graphic material confirming the metrological capabilities of the phase-measuring method. This will increase the complexity of the well trajectory taking into account the geophysical properties of the reservoirs.
