Abstract

Vacuum insulation panels (VIP) represent a group of super-insulation materials that make it possible to significantly reduce the energy consumption of building structures even in places where it is not possible to build in a greater thickness of insulation. Considering that the consumption of these insulators worldwide is increasing every year, it is necessary to look for long-term sustainable raw material sources, such as easy renewable raw sources. The contribution is devoted to the possibilities of using easy renewable raw sources based on cellulose for the production of core insulators in combination with recycled core materials based on silica. The results of the conducted research show that micronized cellulose from wood and paper can substitute part of the nanosilica in the core insulator, while the resulting VIP retains similar properties as VIP based on pure nano-silica. As part of the research work, alternative core insulators were developed and a study of their behavior under reduced pressure was carried out.developed and a study of their behavior under reduced pressure was carried out.
