Abstract

In the context of modern globalisation and the rapid development of digital technologies, the agricultural sector faces new challenges and opportunities. The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the European Union (EU) plays a key role in ensuring a sustainable economy by promoting the introduction of innovative solutions and technologies in agriculture. The purpose is to study the impact of digitalisation on the EU agricultural sector in the context of the Common Agricultural Policy, to determine the theoretical and practical significance of these processes for sustainable economic development. Research results. The key concepts, theories, models and paradigms of sustainable development of EU agricultural policy are analysed and the impact of digital technologies on the agricultural sector is shown. New directions and features of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) of the EU countries, innovative solutions for sustainable agricultural development, and the cost-effectiveness of digital technologies and social aspects of the digitalisation of the agricultural sector are developed. Digitalisation helps to reduce costs and increase productivity. The introduction of automated farm management systems allows to reduce labour-intensive processes through digital technologies.
