THE UTILIZATION OF INSTRUMENT BALANCED SCORECARD FOR FACILITY MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The aim of the article is to show the possibility of using the Balanced Scorecard as a tool for performance and measurement of enterprise focusing on supporting activities covered under the facility management. The balanced scorecard is a strategic planning and management system, what is based on experiences of large multinational companies in the field of strategic management. The purpose of the measurement and evaluation is a shift towards set goals for improving the performance and quality of the company. Generally, this instrument includes metrics in four areas: finance, internal processes, customers and knowledge management. Appropriately chosen metrics for each of the aforementioned areas will create a comprehensive enterprise tool for strategic management. The article shows the great expansion of the traditional areas of Balanced Scorecard for monitoring the areas covered by the integrated management system. These are the areas of quality management, environmental, occupational safety and also management other support activities of the company пїЅ facility management. The article presents on selected examples how these metrics from other areas, especially focused on energy management, which is contained in facility management, can provide a more comprehensive picture of the strategic management of the company. This process corresponds to modern trends in management, which are increasingly focused on occupational safety and health and the impact of the company's environmental and social responsibility.
