DEVELOPMENT OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMMUNICATION SKILLS FOR PROFESSIONAL INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
Communication is considered to be one of the most important processes of social life. The author deals with the syllabus design for technical English course as well as some aspects of communication skills development of the students of the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies of Technical University of Ko\vsice with a seat in Presov, Slovakia. Some aspects of the material selection as well as some methodological procedures applied to English teaching with the aim to reinforce productive communication skills of the students are also described. Special attention is given to the problem of pre-prepared oral presentation. Oral presentation as one of the communication forms has a unique place among productive communication skills for it allows the communicator to utilize both language and professional knowledge within a new context.
