Abstract

The article presents the results of one of the stages of research, the purpose of which is to increase the speed of video data transmission from a source to a processing center. It is shown that one of the approaches to achieve the given goal is to reduce the amount of information for transmission through the partial transferring of frames of the video stream. This possibility is provided by the three-dimensional representation of blocks of frames in the form of a bit cube, which described in the article. The idea of transmission rate increase method assumes that only some planes of the bit cube can be transferred to the channel without coding. A scheme generating a sequence of bits for transmission of blocks on a source and a scheme the process of recovering of blocks of frames on a receiver, based on this representation. The conclusions of the article present new possibilities for controlling the compression rate when transmitting video information and the direction of development of algorithms that can be implemented based on the representation of blocks of frames of a video stream as a bit cube.
