Abstract

Treating depression is a complex process, which includes medical treatment and also psychotherapeutic approach. These two approaches are working together. There is a large scale of known treatments for depressive disorders, which had been developed since the 1950s and the therapeutic effectiveness and patient tolerance were assessed through generations. Structure confirmation of the new synthesised compounds through modern spectral analyses (FT -IR , UV/VIS, RMN, SM) and after are going to be studied in vitro and in vivo in order to obtain their pharmaceutical characterization and anti depressive effects. For each synthesis phase, the optimal reaction conditions are going to be set (temperature, reaction time, utilised environment, catalysers) for obtaining final products endowed with high effectiveness and purity. Purifying the compounds is an important phase and it is realised through processes of recrystallisation, extraction and chromatography.The characterised products are going to be subjected to pharmacological evaluation.
