Abstract

With the growing challenges of climate change and the depletion of natural resources, the transition to a green economy is not only necessary but also urgent. To ensure a sustainable future, it is important to build capacity by educating future leaders to lead the transformation in different sectors of the economy. This article examines the importance of education and training in creating sustainable leaders who are ready to meet the challenges of the green transition. The green economy combines economic growth with the sustainable management of natural resources, aims to achieve social inclusion and combat climate change. It seeks innovations and solutions that reduce negative environmental impacts while providing economic benefits. To achieve these goals, it is necessary to have specialists with the right knowledge and skills. Education plays a key role in building capacity for sustainability. Specialized programs in sustainable development, ecology, resource management and green technologies provide the foundation on which future leaders can build their knowledge and skills. They not only receive theoretical training, but also practical experience, which is essential for the implementation of green initiatives. Training future leaders for the green economy is most effective when interactive and practical approaches are implemented. Seminars, workshops and projects related to sustainable development offer students the opportunity to work on real-life cases and develop innovations for local communities. These practical experiences help them better understand the challenges and opportunities in the green economy sector.
