The article is based on music analysis and visual methodologies. The main objective of investigation stands on the popular music relevance in/within the study of regional geography. The paper aiming at presenting summary insights on how popular music through famous artists could be used in geography learning based on visual methodologies, and, particularly, on documentary films since they always had a key role in geographic training and research, providing meaningful information about places, spaces, people, identities and cultures. Since visual methodologies are highly encouraged to be addresssed in education and research on various fields of human geography, this paper aims to unpack this issue focusing on a particular musical documentary ? ?Through the eyes of the world? ? that successfully could be used in learning of regional geography and in the research backgrounds of new human, cultural and music geographies. The main findings address two avenues illustrating significant aspects both in the study of regional geography at continental scale and in geographical research. Issues as environmental features, cultures, identities, cities, people and human behaviors, cultural perceptions, nations, peace and human welfare are unveiled through a spatial approach opening new avenues for further debates focussed on music and geography and viceversa.
