SEMANTIC TECHNOLOGY OF USER INTERFACE DEVELOPMENT WITH THE ABILITY TO RECONFIGURE ITS STRUCTURE
Abstract
Design, development and support of the user interface is a very important and time-consuming task in the development of the information system as a whole. User interface development is usually organized by a life cycle model describing activities from the initial idea to the final implementation and performance testing. The problem with such approach is that the model requires correct and complete understanding of the final complete user interface design project from the very beginning, because correcting a mistake made in a previous phase is a difficult and expensive task. When circumstances arise that require changes in the structure of the user interface, much time can be spent on reconfiguration and reprogramming. The approach proposed in the article allows you to spend on the process of user interface changing the minimum amount of time and effort, which increases the level of developers?, customer?s and system users? satisfaction. The proposed semantic approach takes into account the domain activity of the user, and by changing the model of this activity there is possibility to reconfigure the interface structure even if the system is already embedded and used. Solving these problems will positively affect the efficiency of the designed interface. The results obtained and presented in the paper will be used to design and develop effective user interfaces of configurable information systems with the possibility of reconfiguration during the system usage
