DEVELOPEMENT OF A SUSTAINABLE SAFETY DEGREE OF THE ACTIVITY WITH PYROTECHNIC ARTICLES FOR PROFESSIONAL USE (F4)
Abstract
Category 4 pyrotechnic articles are products that have a lot more active loads than those intended for public use (category F1, F2, F3). Both the net amount of pyrotechnic composition (NEC) and the preparatory operations that must be undertaken by the pyrotechnic team require organizing the activity in order to anticipate and eliminate the risks to which the workers of the pyrotechnic team, the public, or the targets in the adjacent area may be subject.[4] Performing fireworks with pyrotechnic articles for professional use (Category F4) requires the establishment of precise security measures to eliminate the risks of injury or the damage to the security of buildings, infrastructure or the environment. When triggering pyrotechnic articles falling under Category F4, it is not possible to bring all people away from the firing site, since such events involve the presence of the public in a pre-established security area where they can track the effects.[5] In relation to the educational and disciplinary measures that apply to the personnel performing the works, for the public who takes part in firework shows, all the responsibility lies with the executing company that has to implement a very efficient security system.[2]
