Abstract

The paper mentions performance evaluation of thermal solar power plants in conditions of Belgorod region of Russian Federation. The main task is thermal energy production determination of vacuum solar collector in environmental conditions of Belgorod region of Russia. For quantity of heat calculation of thermal solar power plant it is taking into account solar radiation (insolation) changing in different seasons, collector angulation and sun ray angle change in different time, amount of clouds, coefficient of efficiency of collector depending on ambient temperature. To determine the amount of solar radiation for different degrees of clouds, the experimental observations for a solar vacuum collector of 20 tubes using a heat storage tank of 165 liters volume were used within two months. It is defined of payback period of thermal solar power plants using for water heating. Conclusions and recommendations on the operation of thermal solar power plants in conditions of temperate continental climate were made.
