ELECTRIC PULSE DISINTEGRATION AS A POTENTIAL METHOD FOR OBTAINING A CLEAN ABRASIVE GARNET FROM WEST KEIVY DESPOSIT OF KOLA PENINSULA
Abstract
The study is the first experience to assess the possibility of obtaining clean garnet material from garnet-mica schist from waste Keivy area of Kola Peninsula using electric pulse disintegration. It is shown that the fraction +0.25-0.5 almandine garnet crystal crushed using electric pulse disintegration material and after it washing upward flow of fluid contains up to 94% clean garnet.
