Abstract

The water column of the Sea of Azov is undergoing significant transformation of Oceanographic characteristics (temperature, salinity, oxygen content). They depend on the seasons and weather situation. In the summer, despite wind activity, observed a classic for the Sea of Azov, the distribution of the parameters: water temperature decrease in the direction of the Don River ? Taganrog Bay ? the central part of the Sea of Azov ? the area of Kerch. In the fall, observed reverse pattern during the relative calm. During the wind activity, in the area of Kerch observed the penetration of the black sea waters with salinity more than 16пїЅ. In the deep part of the Sea of Azov remain areas of hypoxia, even during difficult meteorological situation is characterized by active mixing of water masses. Against the background of physico-chemical parameters it was investigated the distribution of mercury, copper, cadmium and zinc in the water of the Sea of Azov. It is noted that the content of copper and mercury significantly exceeds the TLV for fishery water bodies. The spatial distribution of the content of Cu, Cd, Hg and Zn characterized by the overall increase in the Eastern area of the Taganrog Bay? Western area of the Taganrog Bay ? central part of the Sea of Azov. In water of the Sea of Azov higher concentrations of Cu, Cd and Zn was noted in the summer, when there was stormy weather. Unlike other heavy metals, the higher the content of Hg in the water column was observed in the autumn during the stagnation of the water masses of the Sea.
