INFLUENCE OF LIMESTONE AND SPILITE PROCESSING AT SM KOTA NEAR VARES TO ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
Appropriate selection of technological pro cess, as well as technology for processing row materials at quarries, creation of dust emission into the air and its further dispersion would be reduced to the minimal possible measure. This paper represents results of measurement of sedimentary and floating dust, as well as measurement of noise that are products of exploitation of limestone and spilite at SM „Kota“ near Vareš. Measurement confirmed that during limestone processi ng at mentioned location, pollution of researched area with sedimentary or floating dust does not exist, what also represents the most important pollution source at surface exploitation of technical stone. Level of noise that is created by mechanized and sta tionary equipment at locality of SM „Kota“ does not endanger health condition of workers and does not have disturbing function to population that live in the village that gravitates to operational unit as measured level of noise is between approved limits.
