OCCUPATIONAL RISK ASSESSMENT USING THE RISK SCORE METHOD DURING GEODETIC MEASUREMENTS
Abstract
The article presents risk assessment during the surveyor's work. Threats occurring during geodetic measurements in the field were determined. These are various types of measurements carried out for investment purposes, topographic and property boundaries survey, determination of displacements and deformations of structures and engineering structures, etc. It is worth, therefore, that each surveyor should be aware of the dangers that may threaten him during work. Hazards related to geodetic measurements have been identified e.g. crush, hit, fall, electric shock, noise, stress, virus infections. Next, the occupational risk assessment of the surveyor was made using the Risk Score method. This method examines the relationship between the possible effects of the threat, the exposure to the threat and the probability of occurrence of that. The risk in this method is determined on a scale from 1-acceptable to 5-very large. The occupational risk assessment at the daily work of the surveyor occurred to be at a 3-significant or 4-large level. Therefore, it is necessary in this profession to comply with the health and safety procedures and instructions, making regular equipment checks, using only efficient devices and electrical installations and taking care of their technical condition, using personal protective equipment, appropriate work clothes, e.g. non-slip shoes as well exercise great caution, not neglecting breaks in work and organize the work properly.
