Abstract

Planning the sales in a mining enterprise in the modern market conditions is difficult and burdened with significant specific and systematic risk [10]. It is because the quantity plan is determined by geological and mining conditions, on which the enterprise does not have a direct influence. The same applies to the quality of the sourced raw material which depends on the natural parameters of the deposit. On the other hand, quality plan depends on the difficult to foresee sales price which is shaped in the changeable market demand conditions and rapidly developing globalization of raw materials market. The restrictive environmental policy of the European Union and a lack of comprehensive approach to planning the sale of production resulting from management negligence and disregard for market economy rules linked with the financing of mining industry by the state also hinder an effective sales planning in the Polish hard coal mining. Taking the above into consideration, the aim of this paper is to identify key problems in planning the hard coal production and to present systemic solutions increasing the effectiveness of this process [4]. To meet this objective, an analysis of the mining enterprise environment was used to indicate problematic issues, and when presenting the systemic solutions, a process approach was used in which the internal and external conditions were taken into account.
