Abstract

The authors present the results of the research on the variability of selected physicochemical properties and discharge of medicinal waters in Ladek-Zdroj. The medicinal waters are exploited by five natural springs and one deep L-2 well. Based on previous studies, it was found that there are strong hydraulic bonds between particular intakes of thermal waters. The nature of these correlations indicates that medicinal thermal waters are recharged from one fissure deposit of deep circulation system. The main factors affecting variations of discharge and selected physicochemical parameters were the changing exploitation conditions in the observation period (1964-2016). It was found that the variations of the parameters are related to: drilling a new deep intake (L-2), exploitation (start/end) of the shallow intake of medicine waters (Wojciech spring) and the excessive and uncontrolled exploitation of fresh or medicinal waters within the deposit (L-1 and L-2 intakes). Currently, the water is being exploited in stabilized conditions, which does not lead to qualitative and quantitative changes.
