ADVANCES IN ELECTROMAGNETIC SOUNDING OF GEOTHERMAL AREAS
Abstract
The paper presents a brief review of the results obtained recently in Geoelectromagnetic Research Centre IPE RAS on electromagnetic sounding of the geothermal areas. The case studies are shown illustrating application of the developed methods to 3-D imaging geothermal area, mapping the geothermal reservoir and monitoring the faults’ macroparameters. A special attention is paid to the temperature estimations using recently developed indirect electromagnetic geothermometer.
