ASSURANCE OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION BY THERMOTECHNICAL MEASUREMENTS OF THE PROCESS INSTALLATION IN THE CASE OF COMPOUND FEEDS PRODUCTION FOR BROILER CHICKEN
Abstract
The worlwide ascending demographic development automatically determined a growing demand of meat and other derived products from animals raised in livestock farms. Therefore, taking into consideration the fact that, every year, the need for animals food has increased, every compound feed factory (CFF) aims to obtain diversified formulas of final products, depending on the breed and the age of the animals that will be fed. To resist on the competitive market with this profile of production, all compound feeds factories must be equipped with functional installations, as modern as possible, which ensures the possibility of automated and computerised check of ongoing activities, but also a strict surveillance of parameters imposed by European Union's norms concerning environmental protection. In this article, experimental measurements were made throughout technological flows of obtaining several types of compound feeds used in Broiler chickens feeding, in different stages of raising them. The working points were placed in the area of the steam-powered boiler and of the molds for obtaining final granular shaped products, because here are used hot streams of steam, which being necessary for homogenization and sterilization of the granules. The values obtained from these thermotechnical measurements have the role to demonstrate the reliability of functional installations being used, but also the rigurous respect of pollution norms.
