PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: EXPERIENCE OF ECOLOGISTS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS CREATING
Abstract
The example of ecologists? educational programs creating of Bachelor and Master levels in the Kherson State University is offered in the article. The priority of higher education defined environmental training of personnel competent in solving the problems of the Ukraine Black Sea region. Established the following key subject areas of educational projects: rational use of natural resources; optimization of nature management in the coastal zone of the Black and Azov Sea; ecological safety; conservation of biodiversity and protection of steppe ecosystems; mechanisms for the creation and operation of protected areas; ecosystem services to ensure sustainable development. The list of professional competencies and results of training, which are formed in accordance with the standards of higher ecological education in Ukraine, is presented. The offered educational and professional programs of bachelor and master's degrees in the 101 Ecology specialty allow to study the specifics of the ecology and environmental management sphere comprehensively, to emphasize the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the field of environmental control and audit, as well as conservation work, which provides for the possibility of further training and career growth.
