PROSPECTS OF SOLAR ENERGY DEPLOYMENT IN ARAB WORLD
Abstract
In the last century human society has registered huge development in all human-related fields, fact that has been possible without doubt by designing technological applications with the usage of diverse natural resources, especially energy ones. Anyway, recorded progress, especially in technological fields, was feasible because of using fossil fuels for electric and thermal energy supply, which resulted besides positive impacts in undesired environmental pollution. Currently most debated effect by CO2 emissions is bringing the much-debated anthropic climate change and global warming. Another challenging fact is brought by the limited disposability of fossil fuels, which have been the base of a multitude of presently technical applications. Thus, renewable energy resources are nowadays understood as being the solution for assuring future energy supply such as solar, wind, water, and bioenergy. By considering different levels of solar radiation in different parts of the world, available possibilities to produce electric energy by photovoltaic panels in Arab World will be emphasized. Continuing this idea, a case study for the situation in some Arab countries will be debated regarding usage odds of solar energy by photovoltaic panels. In the end, some conclusions will be drawn about assuring sustainability of human society by applying renewable energy resources.
