DIRECT VALUATION OF BIODIVERSITY ECONOMIC FUNCTIONS
Abstract
The article discusses the new methodological approaches for the direct valuation of their own economic services of biodiversity. Approaches are illustrated by economic services valuation of intraspecific diversity of Paci fic salmon. The resulting estimates can form the basis of effective economic instruments for biodiversity conservation.
