RESEARCH OF THERAPEUTIC MUD LITTER ARASAN-KUNDYZDY IN THE ALMATY REGION BY GEOPHYSICAL METHODS
Abstract
The article presents the results of georadar-sensing (GRL-sounding) of the therapeutic mud manifestation site of Arasan-Kunduzdy litter located in the Panfilov district of Almaty region on the right bank of the former riverbed of Ili (oxbow), 45 km south-west of the city of Zharkent, in order to determine the power mud deposits and the study of its lithological structure. GRL- sounding was done using GPR OKO-2 AB-400 antenna unit. It was made 4 profiles on the north bank of litter (profile 1 - 150 m, profile 2 - 150 m, profile 3 - 150 m, profile 4 - 120 m) and 5 along the south coast profiles (profile 1 - 150 m, profile 2 - 150 m, profile 3 - 150 m, profile 4 - 124 m, profile 5 - 110 m). Furthermore, it made 4 transverse profile along the coast litter (profile 1 - 23 m, profile 2 - 39 m, profile 3 - 47 m, profile 4 - 46 m) and 4 longitudinal profile of litter waters (profile 1 - 60 m, profile 2 - 200 m, profile 3 - 200 m, profile 4 - 200 m). Profiling in the water area of the litter was carried out using a rubber inflatable boat, inside which was the antenna unit. In order to correct the data on the depth and thickness of the healing mud layer obtained by GRL-sounding, 23 support wells were drilled along the perimeter of the manifestation of therapeutic mud using an upgraded drilling complex, which allows drilling wells up to 10 m deep with interval sampling. At the end of the field experimental research, was performed decryption and interpretation the results GRL-sounding taking into account materials for drilling reference wells. The average depth of well drilling was 1.5 m.
