Abstract

The paper investigates the removing of cations praseodymium (III) in the form of dodecyl sulfates from nitrates solution with cations of the REE by calculation the separation coefficients by ion flotation process. The dependences of the distribution coefficients and the degree of recovery dodecyl sulfate praseodymium (III) on the pH of the equilibrium aqueous phase are received. Experimental results, obtained in the above process, the possible applications results in technological processes and conclusions about the efficiency of recovery of cations praseodymium (III), also are performed. The maximum recovery of praseodymium dodecyl sulfates in the foam occurs approximately 95% at weakly acid, neutral and slightly alkaline mediums. Rare-earth element raw materials are used in the space and chemical industries, car, electronics, communication technologies and others. The main task of this work is to explore the possibility of using the ion flotation approach for the removal REE from dilute aqueous solutions by hydrometallurgical processing of the poor technogenic raw materials. We used in our researches as the collector for the removal REE - anionic surfactant sodium dodecylsulfate.
