Abstract
Land consolidation is a fundamental instrument for agricultural management, allowing complex changes in the agricultural and forest space. One of the primary goals of land consolidation, directly specified in the Act on land consolidation, is to improve farming and forestry conditions, through the correct farmland location shaping and the correct property boundaries formation. In Poland, consolidation is possible owing to EU funds the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 (RDP 2014пїЅ2020). The agro - forest boundary shaping in the work of land consolidation must be understood by precisely inventory of land use, proper indication in the assumptions for a land consolidation project land suitable for afforestation, having regard to the needs in this area and programming relevant exchanges of land at the stage of detailed project of land consolidation. The land indication for afforestation on the stage of the assumptions for the project of land consolidation must take into account the arrangements of the Local Spatial Development Plan in this regard. The goal of this paper is to analyse documentation in the form of assumptions for a land consolidation project enclosed to an RDP 2014пїЅ2020 grant application and project information sheets as the basis for environmental impact assessment in the context of detailed presentation of the possibility of proper shaping of agro пїЅ forest boundary in the work of land consolidation and to demonstrate the multi-dimensionality of land consolidation works in the comprehensive development of rural areas. The detailed study involved 9 villages in the Malopolskie Voivodeship, which applied for EU grants for land consolidation in the current financial perspective. The paper specifies the existing state of the analysed villages as regards to the land use especially in the context of afforestation and occurrence forest succession. It contains also the proposal and indication of land complexes intended for afforestation in the shaping of the agro - forest boundary, presenting the idea and feasibility of this treatment in the work of land consolidation.
