CONVERGENCE OF DIGITALIZATION OF GEO-INFORMATION SERVICES AND TECHNOLOGIES OF INDUSTRY 4.0 IN CONDITIONS OF DIGITAL ECONOMY
Abstract
Digitalization and industry 4.0 are considered as two of the most current trends in digital transformation of economy. The service-based model is mainly focused on increasing customer value (demand-pull), while Industry 4.0 is often seen in the context of value added to production process (technology-push). Although some scientists view them as complementary concepts, there are currently no characteristics of relationship between these two trends. Thus, it is necessary to develop a conceptual framework that combines the concepts of digitalization of geo-information services and industry 4.0 from the point of view of business innovation model. Keeping this in mind, designed model is based on three levels of services (smoothing, adaptation and replacement) and three levels of digitalization (low, medium and high levels). It is shown that as a result of correlating these levels, nine configurations are possible in relation to non-digital services, digital services and services of industry 4.0, which can focus on smoothing, adapting or replacing the corresponding geo-information services in digital economy. Also, we review various levels of complexity for implementing these configurations. Thus, within the framework of this study, the convergence of digitalization of services and industry 4.0 has been established in the digital economy.
