Abstract

Faculty of Exact and Engineering Sciences was founded in 2015, being one of the main pillars of the ?1 Decembrie 1918? University of Alba Iulia. The main objective of the managerial plan of the faculty leadership was to create a clear and unmistakable identity of their specializations, from didactic point of view and research activity carried out within the study programs. The main objective that has been stated in the Faculty's development strategy is the promotion of the faculty as a leader in the human resources formation in the central region of Romania, together with the academic integration and recognition at international level. In the technical field, especially in the field of ?high technology? specializations, there is a worldwide alert development, with which the university education is obliged to keep up. In this context, the development of the faculty through the promotion of technical education is possible only by diversifying the curricular offer and the study programs that correspond to the current requirements and demands of the labor market. Due to the demand of specialists on the labor market, the ?1 Decembrie 1918? University of Alba Iulia decided to start the procedures for the establishment and authorization of the bachelor study program ?Urban Engineering and Regional Development? within the field of ?Civil Engineering? license.
