Abstract

For the rational organization of natural territories of historical and cultural significance, it is necessary: to develop a long-term strategy for nature management, to implement functional zoning and integrated landscape and environmental monitoring. The monitoring should be based on a detailed large-scale landscape-ecological research of the territory, including the compilation of a cadastre of landscape and landscape-historical complexes, an assessment of their ecological state and the identification of the main sources of environmental pollution. The objects identified for integrated geoecological landscape-ecological monitoring should give a comprehensive picture of the natural, cultural and historical features of such territories and cover the whole range of typical landscape complexes and the entire spectrum of landscape-historical complexes. An example of the work on the organization of integrated landscape-ecological monitoring in the territory of the neighboring reserves ?State Historical Museum-Reserve ?Gorki Leninsky? and ?Natural-Historical Reserve-Special Forestry ?Gorki? (Moscow Region) is cited. The characterization of the most significant and characteristic landscape-historical and landscape complexes that make up the territorial base for the monitoring objects is provided. For a representative selection of monitoring sites (and points), detailed field studies were performed at these objects, the boundaries (i.e. the ranges) within which it is necessary to monitor the state of landscape and landscape-historical complexes were determined.
