JUST IN BLAST- VR TRAINING
Abstract
"Just in blast - VR training" is a student project, the main idea of which was to create a VR (Virtual Reality) training in blasting technology. The footage was recorded on the site of the Holcim Dolomite Mine "Radkowice" in cooperation with SSE Poland in the summer of 2023, with 360-degree wide-angle cameras. The acquired material was then properly selected and edited for further activities, which ultimately led to the editing and creation of an application in VR extension. The whole project is aimed at popularizing issues in the fields of mining and geological sciences to a wider audience, in particular the field of Open Pit Mining. During the session presentation of the created application-training in 360 technology which tests the user's knowledge of blasting technology. It consists of elements covering the process of designing blasting works, the process of preparation, carrying out blasting works and detonation. In addition, the training also includes the stage of preparing blasting holes with drilling works. The paper will include an introduction and explanation of VR 360 technology and its impact on the effective and rapid absorption of information by the user. The process of recording the training with a 360 camera will be presented, followed by the process of assembling the application and a demonstration of the final product on a tablet.
