22nd SGEM International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference Proceedings 2022, Energy and Clean Technologies, Vol. 22, Issue 4.2
Abstract
OVERVIEW - RESUME – ISSUE 4.2 (Vol 22) -------------------------------------- This conference proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 22nd International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGEM 2022 (Surveying Geology and Mining Ecology Management), that was held in the period of 6 - 8 December, 2022, Vienna, Austria. In this specific Issue 4.2, after a double-blind peer review process based on the COPE standards, there are 78 academic research papers accepted for publication. The papers represent research works and projects from 27 countries and 63 Universities/ Institutions. Issue 4.2 of the SGEM2022 Conference Proceedings - Volume 22, with its 650 pages in total, presents research topics in the field of Nano, Bio and Green – Technologies for a Sustainable Future. The articles are categorized in 4 Sections as follows: Recycling, Air Pollution and Climate Change, Nuclear Technologies, Renewable Energy Sources and Clean Technologies. The topics discussed include: adsorptive removal of glyphosate from aqueous solution onto pyrophyllite; catalytic pyrolysis of discarded COVID-19 masks over sepiolite; palm nutshell biochar quality correlation with pyrolysis residence time; use of wood ash from centralised heat recovery; assessment of tolerance of microalgae to different temperature regimes; ecological and economic aspects of manure management - conclusions from the milkey and mels projects; ecotoxicity of fine and ultrafine particles released from biomass combustion; farm management practice impact on N2O emission; mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions in some cultivated mineral soils from Romania; public perception of the need and barriers to climate change adaptation; the development of economically efficient nonpolluting technologies for soybeans; the influence of climate change on leafy vegetables mineral composition; wind induced resuspension of particulate matter fractions in urban environment and their correlation to nitrogen oxides; a review on biogas production based on circular economy via co-digestion and immobilized substrates; assessment of orchard land for alternative energy deployment; improved deep learning approach in wind turbine damage detection; modeling and simulation of biomass pyrolysis and gasification processes; socio-economic aspects of biofuels consumption by households in the Czech Republic; techno-economic optimization of hybrid electricity generation systems for off-grid islands; wind energy as an export commodity: the case of South Dakota.
