Abstract

In today-s world, where climate change and environmental protection are becoming increasingly pressing issues, education needs to adapt to prepare young generations to understand and respond to these challenges. Integrating Earth sciences into the classroom is essential for building environmental awareness and developing sustainable practices. This article proposes a plan for integrating environmental education into the curriculum. Earth sciences encompass a variety of disciplines, including geology, meteorology, biology, and ecology. They provide a foundation for understanding the dynamics of natural systems and human-environment interactions. Through Earth sciences, students can develop critical thinking and analytical skills that enable them to evaluate environmental problems and solutions. Creating curricula that combine Earth sciences with other subjects, such as chemistry, biology, and social sciences, can provide a more complete understanding of environmental issues. These courses may include topics such as climate change, sustainable development, and resource management. Integrating Earth sciences into the classroom offers a unique opportunity to prepare students for the challenges of the modern world. Through interdisciplinary course development, project-based learning, the use of technology, and extracurricular activities, education can be transformed into a powerful tool for raising awareness of environmental issues and promoting sustainable practices.
