DEVELOPMENT OF AN EXPRESS-METHOD TO CONTROL DAMAGES IN UNDERGROUND MINING EXCAVATIONS UNDER ROCKBURST HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS
Abstract
Safety of underground mining is significantly complicated if horizontal tectonic stresses hugely predominate over vertical ones and influence of tectonic disturbances, heterogeneities of physical-mechanical properties of rocks and mountainous relief is considerable. To the date multiply efficient tool methods have been developed aimed at estimation and forecast of rockburst hazardous events in the highly-stress rock mass. They allow studying the stress-strain state of the rock mass in the vicinity of underground mining excavations, its disturbance and physical-mechanical characteristics. At the same time the deepening of mining operations and application of large-section excavations for self-propelled machinery makes it difficult to use some existing local investigation methods which require drilling of monitoring boreholes and spurs and long-term presence of researchers in rockburst hazardous underground mine conditions. These factors indicate necessity to develop a rockburst hazard forecast express-method on the basis of applying data of changes in transversal sections of excavations, stress-strain state of the rock mass and its power-intensity in the vicinity of underground mining excavations.
