INTERNET CADASTRAL INFORMATION SYSTEM
Abstract
Due to Internet development and the expansion of the communication network, the services lately delivered by administration and municipalities have improved by granting customers e- access to administrative databases. Several servers for geographical information are already available in the Internet. However, they encompass primarily geographical objects, roads, and the maximum level they reach is address. There is no data about estates, their owners, coordinates of the boundaries’ points, public areas, functional areas, etc. iSofMap is an attempt to seal this crack. The aim of this application is to provide in electronic format all the information that could be obtained from Sofia Cadastre, Architecture and Town-planning Department or GIS-Sofia. iSofMap is an internet-based application, which makes it possible for customers to obtain cadastral information about Sofia Municipality and online information about selected objects. The system is developed in such a way that customers can obtain a copy of the original cadastre data, so that the accuracy and accountability of the information is granted. The architecture of the system is structural and each component is located in a separate server – database server, server for orders generation, internet server, etc., assuring quickness, scalability and security of the system. iSofMap is only the first step towards the development of an online cadastre for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
