Abstract

GIS Web Applications are very useful when it is needed to highlight important changes in time in a specific area. ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS include an embedded interactive application for designing and building web applications from a web map. The application works on desktop browsers, tablets, and smart phones without needing a plugin. WebAppBuilder has a lot of customizable themes and widgets that allow to deliver advanced functionality, such as high-quality printing, geoprocessing, editing, and search. In this paper we wanted to prove this approach by designing a WebApp in GIS environment. For this purpose had been chosen an area seriously affected by earthquakes. It had been uploaded imagery before and after the event and was created an application to emphasize the situation regarding the event linked with the two moments in time. It had been also accessed informations about the affected buildings and integrated them with satellite imagery. Based on these data could be designed queries and could be found important informations.
