SOCIAL OWNED ENTERPRISES AS A TOOL IN GREEN ECONOMY CONTEXT
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to identify key factors of social enterprises towards green economy development, specifically in Kosovo?s green business field. It considers a new field of research which relates entrepreneurship in general and specifically addresses social enterprises/social enterprises as a new component of doing business in green economy field. Through this paper, research questions are related to the role that social enterprises play in economic development in Kosovo. The paper is built on the hypothesis that social enterprises represent a positive impact on the overall development of the country with great opportunities to grow further in green context of the economy. The methodology used in this paper is a combined methodology that includes qualitative, quantitative, and comparative methods. This paper considers that the field of social enterprises represent a new opportunity of doing business in green sector of the economy and helps to reduce social differences, increasing employment, human well-being and the overall development of society and the country. Main objectives include increasing social well-being activities, lowering the negative impact on the local environment, community, social and business area, and promoting the importance of green economy in further approach. The paper tries to determine the key factors of social enterprises through which they development will affect the green economy and create new approach of green business development. The conclusions will present a new path for social enterprise activities towards green business in green economy. The recommendations drawn help to create additional knowledge and support to new entrepreneurs in the relevant field.
