NATURAL CAUSES OF -GLOBAL WARMING-

Abstract

To understand the natural causes of the ?global warming?, it?s necessary to know the temporal evolution of the warm and cold phases of some cosmic phenomena with a cyclical development that induced the general climate of our planet in the past. For historic times, the climatic effects of shorter cycles are manifested more than those of longer ones, which are less visible. Thus, the ?global warming? (in fact the ?Actual Climatic Optimum? - ACO) can be regarded as the last warm phase of the mini-glaciations cycle. The ACO followed a last cold phase of this cycle (the Little Ice Age) and has correspondences, in past, the Medieval Climatic Optimum, the Roman Climatic Optimum and many other previous warm phases. These warm phases are mitigated by the effect of the climatic phases induced by the precessional cycle, whose last warm phase peaked about 4,750 years ago and will be succeeded by a ?precessional winter? that will start in about 2,000 years. Thus, the ACO is less warm than the Medieval Climatic Optimum, while this was less warm than the Roman Climatic Optimum. But, the climate of Earth is also influenced by the climatic effects of the short cycle of orbital eccentricity, which has led to the repetition of Quaternary glacial phases. The core of the last glacial phase (Wurm) can be pinpointed about 58,000 years ago, so that a new glacial phase is expected, with a peak in about 42,000 years. For this cause, we expect more attenuated warm phases of the precessional cycle, but also less warm phases of the mini-glaciations cycle. This mitigation can be compensated by the effects of the warm phase of the Valach climatic cycle, whose last cold phase corresponds to the Quaternary Glaciation. Due to the last warm phase of this cycle, which we are in, the next glacial phase will be less cold than the last glacial phase Wurm. Finally, it should be noted that the peak of the current ?global warming? will be within the 2050-2135 AD interval, after which we will head to a new cold phase of the mini-glaciations cycle.
