Abstract

Infostructures element increased in demand last forty years, these elements provide increasing in the resistance of structures and service age. Due to the difficulty of studying the behavior of parts that embedded in soil special for the anchor plate. A numerical study was adopted to study the behavior of anchor plate inside the soil to see the deformations and the stress that deform inside the soil, also the reaction of soil companion under the effect of this loads. Abaqus is a complete program used to solve the equilibrium equations of a finite element modeling, which is used in the present study to analyze an anchor plate case embedded into the loose sandy soil and subjected to vertical uplift load. The contribution of this paper represents a numerical analysis of a case study representing the influence of a horizontal anchor plate embedded in soil under effect of cavity. The results show the effect of the cavity location on the resistance area of the anchor and the overturning capacity of the anchor to resist the uplift loads.
