MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROCESSES IN A MINING COMPANY
Abstract
The paper presents the factors affecting the performance of a mining company, identified and classified into two categories: internal and external factors. Further, the paper evaluates the external factors affecting the activity of a mining company, and identifies possible correlations between factors or group of factors and the performance indicators of the mining co mpany. These correlations are validated in time by the evolution of the pair: external f actor – indicator value, or are object of simulations – in order to identify possible scenarios of external factors. These simulations are aimed to upgrading th e organizational processes so the resulted processes to present an optimal behavior in the simulated situations. Also, we need to note that this method to eval uate the influence of internal and external factors on the entire quality and performance level from the company is done in fuzzy logic.
