Abstract

The paper presents a solution for developing the water body in an enclosure arranged with engineering works from the Danube meadow in Giurgiu county. The solution is applicable in the conditions of a half captive aquifer taken from the Danube Specific for this solution is the type of hydric excess with a higher intensity and duration than on the border zones. The experimental field has a surface of 4 ha a nd is located in conditions of alluvial soil with a clad texture. The arrangement has abso rbing pipes placed at an average depth of 1,20 m connected to the collector drain. The supply was made from a perfectly drilled well of 4 ha with a depth of 25 m and the final water column of 520 mm. The tests were performed during 3 years in conditions of drought. At operating in the artesian mode the level of the aquifer reached a distance of 0,48 m from the land. The daily volume discharged was of 302 m 3 /day the water having the salinity class C2 - C3 and the subclass of alcalinity S1. In the conditions of the phreatic under pressure the distance between the absorbant drains is small below 8 m leading to a high specific investment. The method may represent a solution of soil revegetation by increasing the surface of the water body.
